The Blueprint by STATIC
Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
This is a judged skill-based contest, not a sweepstakes, drawing, or game of chance. The two (2) Grand Prize winners will be selected by the Static Marketing team based on the judging criteria described below, not by random selection or chance. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection, and selection is in the sole discretion of the judges.
The Blueprint (the "Contest") is sponsored and administered by Build With Static ("Static," "Sponsor," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting an application, applicants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. These Official Rules supplement, and should be read together with, Sponsor's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility & Service Area
The Contest is open only to for-profit businesses that meet all of the following requirements at the time of application and continuously through the date the prize is awarded:
- The applicant business is a legally formed and validly existing entity (sole proprietorship, LLC, corporation, or partnership) registered to do business in the State of Utah and in good standing with the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code.
- The business maintains a primary physical place of business located within the State of Utah (the "Service Area"), and the majority of the business's customers and projects are located within the Service Area.
- The individual completing the application on behalf of the business is at least eighteen (18) years of age, is the owner or an authorized officer of the business, and has the legal authority to enter the business into the Contest and to bind the business to these Official Rules.
- The business carries, or is willing and able to obtain prior to the start of services, general liability insurance customary for its industry.
- The business operates in a trade, service, or product category that the Sponsor reasonably determines is consistent with the Sponsor's stated focus on serving blue-collar service businesses and trade-based companies (e.g., construction, contracting, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, cleaning, painting, concrete, fencing, doors and windows, pools, exterior services, and similar trades). Sponsor retains sole discretion in determining whether a business's category aligns with the Contest's focus.
The following are NOT eligible to enter or win:
- Sponsor's current clients and any business that has been a paying client of Sponsor or its affiliates within the twenty-four (24) months preceding the application deadline.
- Direct competitors, in the same trade and the same primary geographic market, of any current paying client of Sponsor. Sponsor will determine in its sole discretion whether a meaningful conflict exists, and may disqualify applications on this basis to honor existing client commitments.
- Sponsor's employees, contractors, owners, officers, and directors, and their respective immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and members of the same household.
- Businesses that primarily operate in industries that Sponsor does not advertise for, including but not limited to: cannabis or CBD, firearms, adult entertainment, gambling, multi-level marketing, payday lending, cryptocurrency, political campaigns, and any business that Sponsor's advertising partners (including Meta, Google, and similar platforms) restrict or prohibit advertising for.
- Any business whose owners, principals, or key personnel have an unresolved legal, financial, or reputational issue that Sponsor reasonably believes would materially impair Sponsor's ability to perform the services or would create reputational risk for Sponsor.
Sponsor reserves the right to verify any applicant's eligibility at any time and to disqualify any applicant or winner found to be ineligible.
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins on May 20th 2026 at 12:00 AM Mountain Time and ends on May 31st 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time (the "Contest Period"). All applications must be received by Sponsor within the Contest Period to be considered. Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeping device for this Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, garbled, misdirected, or technically failed submissions.
3. How to Apply
To apply, visit https://buildwithstatic.com/the-blueprint during the Contest Period and complete the online application in full. A complete application requires the following:
- Business contact information: Legal business name, doing-business-as name (if applicable), business address within the Service Area, primary contact name, title, email address, and phone number.
- Business background: A brief description of the business, the trade or service category, the year founded, current team size, current service area, and a general indication of current annual revenue.
- Current marketing situation: A brief description of what the business is currently doing (or not doing) for marketing, including any existing website, advertising, content production, CRM, or agency relationships.
- Goals and bottlenecks: A written response of approximately 250 to 750 words describing why the business is applying, what the business would do with the prize, and what specific bottlenecks the business is currently facing in growth.
- Acknowledgments: Confirmation that the applicant has read these Official Rules, has authority to bind the business, and consents to the participation, content, and publicity terms set forth herein.
Application Limit: Limit one (1) application per business and one (1) application per business owner during the Contest Period. Duplicate or multiple applications submitted from the same business, the same owner, or the same household may result in disqualification of all such applications. Use of any automated system, bot, script, or third-party application service is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
No Purchase or Other Consideration Required: No purchase, payment, sales consultation, in-person visit, design appointment, deposit, retainer, or other consideration of any kind is required to apply for or win the Contest. Submission of a complete application is the sole method of entry. Selection is not contingent upon attending any sales presentation, accepting any service offer, or making any purchase from Sponsor or any third party.
Submission Rights: By submitting an application, the applicant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, and display the contents of the submission for purposes of administering the Contest and for Sponsor's reasonable internal review and marketing activities. Applicants represent and warrant that all information submitted is true, accurate, and complete, that the submission is original to the applicant, and that the submission does not infringe any third-party rights.
Communications Consent: By providing an email address and phone number in the application, the applicant consents to receive transactional communications from Sponsor by email, phone, and SMS regarding the application, the Contest, and (where the applicant separately opts in) Sponsor's marketing communications. Applicants may opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message or using the unsubscribe link in any email. Sponsor's full SMS program terms are available in its Terms of Service.
4. Judging Criteria & Winner Selection
This is a judged contest. There is no random drawing. All eligible applications will be reviewed by the Static Marketing team, who will select two (2) Grand Prize winners based on the following criteria, weighted at the judges' discretion:
- Fit (30%) - How well the business aligns with Sponsor's focus on blue-collar service and trade-based businesses, and how well Sponsor's services can move the needle for this specific business.
- Story and motivation (25%) - The sincerity, clarity, and quality of the applicant's written response, including a clear articulation of goals, bottlenecks, and what winning would mean for the business and its team.
- Readiness to execute (20%) - The business's operational ability to handle and convert new leads, the willingness of the owner and team to participate in content shoots and strategy work, and the absence of operational bottlenecks (e.g., capacity, licensing, insurance) that would prevent results from being realized.
- Documentation potential (15%) - The business's willingness and ability to be documented publicly on camera throughout the year, including jobsites, team members, projects, and the founder's voice on camera.
- Coachability and partnership fit (10%) - The judges' overall sense of whether the applicant is the kind of partner who will engage in good faith with strategy, feedback, and the collaborative work required to produce results.
Judging will take place on or about[, and winners will be selected on or about[. All decisions of the Static Marketing team are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest, including the interpretation of these Official Rules and the application of the judging criteria.
5. Winner Notification & Verification
The two (2) selected winners will be notified by Sponsor via the email address and phone number provided in the application. Each potential winner must respond to the notification within seven (7) days of the initial notification attempt.
If a potential winner cannot be reached after reasonable attempts, fails to respond within the required timeframe, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected from among the remaining eligible applications using the same judging criteria.
Prior to being awarded the prize, each potential winner will be asked to:
- Confirm in writing that the individual completing the application has the authority to enter into agreements on behalf of the business;
- Complete and return an IRS Form W-9 for the business (including a valid Employer Identification Number or, if a sole proprietorship, Social Security Number) for tax reporting purposes; and
- Execute Sponsor's standard Service Agreement (described in Section 10 below).
6. The Prize
Two (2) Grand Prize winners will each receive one (1) Prize Package valued at up to Eighty-Five Thousand United States Dollars ($85,000.00 USD), consisting of the following twelve (12) months of marketing services performed by Sponsor:
Total ARV of all prizes: Up to $170,000.00 USD (two prizes at $85,000.00 each).
The scope, schedule, and specific composition of the services will be set forth in the Service Agreement executed between Sponsor and the winner, and will be performed by Sponsor in good faith over a period of twelve (12) consecutive calendar months beginning on the mutually agreed kickoff date (the "Service Term").
Restrictions: The prize is non-transferable. No cash equivalent or substitution is permitted at the request of the winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any individual deliverable or sub-deliverable with a service of equal or greater value if the advertised deliverable becomes impractical to deliver for any reason, provided the overall character and value of the Prize Package are preserved.
"As Is" Award: The services comprising the prize are provided as a best-efforts marketing engagement. Sponsor makes no warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, regarding the number of leads, appointments, sales, revenue, return on ad spend, search engine ranking, social media follower growth, or any other specific outcome that the winner may achieve as a result of receiving the prize. Marketing results depend on many factors outside of Sponsor's control, including but not limited to the winner's pricing, sales process, capacity, market conditions, seasonality, and the performance of third-party advertising and search platforms. By accepting the prize, the winner releases Sponsor and its representatives from any claims arising from the performance, results, or non-results of the services, except where prohibited by law and except for Sponsor's obligation to perform the services in good faith.
Intellectual Property.
Consistent with Sponsor's standard Terms of Service: (a) Sponsor's Materials, including Sponsor's methods, frameworks, internal templates, and reusable systems, remain the exclusive intellectual property of Sponsor; (b) Winner's Materials, including the winner's logos, brand assets, product information, and any data the winner provides, remain the exclusive intellectual property of the winner; and (c) the deliverables specifically produced for the winner under this Prize Package (such as the custom website, photo and video assets, ad creative, and copy) are licensed to the winner under a non-exclusive, perpetual license for the winner's internal business use, with Sponsor retaining the right to use those deliverables and the underlying engagement for the documentation, publicity, case-study, and portfolio purposes described in Section 9.
7. What Is and Is Not Included
To avoid any ambiguity, the following items are NOT included in the Prize Package and remain the sole responsibility of the winner:
- Paid media spend. The prize covers the management and creative production of Meta and Google ads, but does not include the media budget paid to Meta, Google, or any other advertising platform. The winner is responsible for funding their own ad spend directly to the platforms throughout the Service Term.
- Third-party software subscriptions beyond what Sponsor uses to deliver services internally, for example: domain registration and renewal, premium website hosting beyond Sponsor's standard, CRM platform fees beyond what Sponsor's standard stack provides, transactional SMS and email fees, A2P 10DLC registration fees, paid stock or licensing fees, paid Webflow site plan fees, and similar pass-through costs.
- Sales tax, payment processing fees, and any other taxes or government fees associated with the services or the prize.
- Travel costs beyond Sponsor's normal service area, if the winner's location, jobsites, or projects require Sponsor to travel outside of Sponsor's standard operating radius.
- Third-party professional services that are outside Sponsor's scope, including but not limited to legal counsel, accounting, photography or videography from third parties, voice talent, paid influencer placements, public relations, and trade show or event marketing.
- Out-of-scope creative requests that fall outside the deliverable list above (e.g., logo redesign or full rebrand, packaging design, vehicle wraps, signage, print collateral, paid app development).
Sponsor will identify, in good faith, any pass-through cost or out-of-scope item to the winner in advance of incurring it. Anything not on the deliverable list in Section 6 is, by default, outside the scope of the prize.
8. Winner Participation & Cooperation Requirements
Because the prize is a service, not a physical item, the value of the prize can only be realized through the active participation of the winner. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to the following participation and cooperation obligations during the Service Term:
- Reasonable access. The winner will provide Sponsor and Sponsor's team with reasonable access to the winner's principals, key team members, jobsites, projects, completed work, customers (where the winner can secure consent), brand assets, existing accounts and platforms, and any other materials reasonably required for Sponsor to deliver the services.
- Decision-making and approvals. The winner will identify a single primary decision-maker (typically the owner) who is empowered to approve creative, copy, strategy, and ad budgets, and who will respond to Sponsor's requests for approval and feedback within a reasonable timeframe (generally within five (5) business days).
- Monthly strategy calls and content shoots. The winner will participate in scheduled monthly strategy calls and will make themselves and their team reasonably available for monthly content shoots, on dates and at locations mutually agreed in advance with Sponsor.
- Existing agency and platform conflicts. The winner represents that they are not currently under an exclusive engagement with another marketing agency, and that they will, at their own initiative, wind down any conflicting marketing engagement or platform access in good faith before Sponsor begins delivery.
- Cooperation with documentation. The winner agrees to be filmed and photographed throughout the Service Term as described in Section 9 below.
Termination for non-cooperation. If a winner materially fails to participate, repeatedly ignores Sponsor's requests, becomes unresponsive for periods exceeding thirty (30) consecutive days, refuses to provide access reasonably necessary for Sponsor to deliver the services, or otherwise materially breaches these participation obligations, Sponsor may, after providing fifteen (15) days' written notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure, terminate the Service Term. In the event of termination for non-cooperation, the winner will not be entitled to receive the remainder of the services or any cash, credit, or refund in lieu of services, and Sponsor will be released from further obligation under the prize. Termination does not relieve the winner of any tax obligation associated with the portion of the prize already delivered.
9. Content, Filming, Publicity & Public Documentation
A core element of the Contest is the public documentation of each winner's year, what we are calling "The Year, on Camera." By accepting the prize, each winner expressly agrees to the following, in addition to any separate publicity or content release that Sponsor may request:
- Filming and photography. Sponsor and its designees may film, photograph, and audio-record the winner, the winner's owner(s), the winner's employees and crew (subject to those individuals' own consent), the winner's jobsites and projects (subject to property owners' consent where applicable), the winner's office and facilities, and the winner's strategy sessions and behind-the-scenes interactions with Sponsor.
- Public-facing publication. Sponsor may publish, distribute, share, broadcast, and otherwise display the resulting content publicly, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, worldwide and in perpetuity, including but not limited to: Sponsor's website, social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and any successor platforms), email newsletters, paid advertising, podcasts, case studies, written articles, press releases, and any third-party media outlet that picks up the story.
- Performance data. Sponsor may publicly share performance metrics generated during the Service Term, including but not limited to lead volume, return on ad spend, quoted and booked revenue, close rates, and other operational metrics, in the same manner that Sponsor publishes case studies for its other clients. The winner agrees not to require approval over individual data points provided that Sponsor's publication of such data is truthful and not materially misleading.
- Name, likeness, and statements. The winner grants Sponsor and its designees the right to use the winner's business name, trade name, hometown, owners' names and likenesses, voice, photographs, video, statements, the winner's submitted application materials, and the results of the engagement, for advertising, promotional, and publicity purposes, without further compensation, notification, or approval.
- Third-party consents. The winner is responsible for obtaining the consent of its employees, subcontractors, customers, and any property owners whose property, image, or voice may be captured, before such individuals or properties are filmed. Sponsor will provide standard release forms that the winner may use for this purpose.
- No editorial control. Sponsor retains full editorial control over the form, sequence, framing, and timing of all published content. The winner does not have the right to review, approve, or require removal of content prior to publication, except in the limited circumstance where the content contains a factual error about the winner's business, in which case Sponsor will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct it.
Survival. The rights granted in this Section 9 survive the conclusion or termination of the Service Term and continue in perpetuity.
10. Service Agreement & Service Term
Within thirty (30) days following winner verification, Sponsor and each winner will execute a Service Agreement that incorporates these Official Rules and sets forth the specific schedule, scope, deliverable cadence, point-of-contact information, and operational expectations for the twelve (12)-month Service Term. The Service Agreement will not modify the value or character of the prize as described in these Official Rules. To the extent there is any conflict between the Service Agreement and these Official Rules with respect to the eligibility, judging, prize, or public-facing aspects of the Contest, these Official Rules control.
The Service Term begins on the kickoff date set forth in the Service Agreement (typically within thirty (30) days after the Service Agreement is fully executed) and ends twelve (12) consecutive calendar months thereafter. The Service Term is fixed and does not roll over, extend, or convert into a discount, credit, or ongoing engagement unless the winner and Sponsor separately agree to a paid continuation on commercial terms.
11. Taxes & Legal Disclosures
Because the fair market value of the Prize Package exceeds applicable IRS reporting thresholds, Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC (or such other form as may be appropriate) to each winner. The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize.
Publicity. Each winner grants Sponsor the publicity rights described in Section 9 above.
Platform Disclaimer. This Contest is not sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or affiliated with Instagram, Meta, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Google, or any other social media or search platform. Any reference to such platforms is solely for identification purposes.
12. Privacy
Information collected from applicants is subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy, available at https://buildwithstatic.com/privacy-policy. By submitting an application, applicants acknowledge that Sponsor may use their contact information and submitted materials to administer this Contest, to communicate with applicants regarding the Contest, and for Sponsor's reasonable internal business purposes. Applicants may also be contacted by Sponsor regarding Sponsor's services where they have separately consented to such marketing communications, and may opt out of those communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such message or by contacting Sponsor directly.
13. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or extend the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest. Sponsor further reserves the right to disqualify any individual or business found to be tampering with the application process or the operation of the Contest, providing false or misleading information, or acting in violation of these Official Rules.
If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest and, if appropriate, to award one or both prizes from among eligible applications received up to the point of cancellation, using the judging criteria described in Section 4.
If any provision of these Official Rules is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Sponsor's failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules at any time will not constitute a waiver of that provision.
14. Limitations of Liability & Releases
By submitting an application, each applicant (and, if selected, each winner) agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, vendors, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, rights, and causes of action of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest, the application, the prize, the services, or the use or misuse of the prize, including without limitation: personal injury, property damage, lost revenue, lost profits, business interruption, reputational harm, and consequential or punitive damages.
The Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by applicants, printing errors, or by any equipment or programming associated with the Contest; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines, internet service, or network hardware or software; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the application process or the Contest; (iv) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (v) any error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of applications; or (vi) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from an applicant's participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Except where prohibited by law, any and all disputes, claims, or causes of action arising out of or connected to this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah. Applicants and winners waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including attorneys' fees, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred in submitting an application.
16. Winner's List
For the names of the two (2) Grand Prize winners (available after [WINNER LIST AVAILABLE DATE]), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Sponsor address below, marked "Attn: The Blueprint Winner's List." Requests must be received by [WINNER LIST REQUEST DEADLINE].
